The
aerial battles over Normandy in the first days following the invasion
in June 1944 focused primarily on operations of fighter-bombers
related to attacks on enemy ground forces. German targets continued
to be attacked by medium and heavy bombers, but Luftwaffe assaults on
these formations were rare. One such encounter took place on June 12
near Rennes. Letecké

soustředily především na operace stíhacích bombardérů, které
souvisely s útoky na pozemní jednotky protivníků. Německé cíle
byly nadále napadány středními a těžkými bombardéry, ale
útoky Luftwaffe na tyto formace byly vzácné. K jednomu z takových
střetnutí došlo 12. června na Rennes. |
